You may be eligible to receive government funding towards the cost of course fees for staff training in Nationally Recognised Qualifications!....

Enhance your bottom line with traineeships.

What are traineeships?

  • A traineeship is a system of structured, work-based training combined with employment.
  • They are designed to help people start a career, and to provide businesses with trained, qualified staff.
  • Most traineeships are of 12 months duration.
  • On successful completion of a traineeship, the trainee will receive a nationally recognised qualification.
  • Traineeships can be offered to either full-time or part-time employees.

How can traineeships benefit my business?

  • Upskill your staff and increase their productivity and quality of work.
  • The training is provided at a subsidised rate - just 25% of the course cost! This may be reduced further for eligible applicants.
  • All learning materials are provided.
  • Increase staff retention and motivation.
  • Financial incentives (subject to eligibility).

Benefits to the employee

  • Employees receive a structured learning program of nationally accredited training.
  • Qualifications may be used as a credit towards training at a higher level.
  • Travel concession card for travel to and from work.

How is the training delivered?

At Acacia we strive to provide the most suitable method(s) of delivery for you and your employee, either:

  • On-site at your workplace
  • Part-time classroom-based delivery
  • Correspondence – course materials are sent to the trainees, with support from a trainer via phone and email
  • Flexible delivery - by a combination of methods.

Is there a lot of paperwork required to organise Traineeships?

No, in fact, there is very little - and, it is all looked after by an Australian Apprenticeship Centre (a government-funded  organisation) who will help you complete the paperwork, and ensure you receive all the incentives you are entitled to. This is a no-charge service.

What should I do next?

Traineeships are available to both new and existing staff. However, to be eligible for maximum incentives, employees must be either new, or have commenced their employment with you within the last 12 months (for part-time staff) or within the last 3 months (for full-time staff).
